The Musical Instrument Museum (MIM)

4725 East Mayo Boulevard, Phoenix, AZ 85050 (480) 478-6000
With live music venues, a café and a coffee shop The MIM is a lot more than just a museum!
However, The MIM does have extensive exhibits of musical instruments from all corners of the world; There's even a display for instruments that have been designed to play themselves.
Whether you are a long time resident, born local or just visiting the greater Phoenix area, The MIM is a place you should visit at least once. If you do I guarantee such an enlightening experience, you are sure to return... often!!!
For detailed information regarding exhibits, performances, volunteer opportunities, etc. check out their website here ---> TheMIM.org

Biosphere 2

32540 S Biosphere Rd., Oracle
Timelife Books recently named this as "One of the 50 Wonders of the World." At one point, several scientists spent 2 years inside of this COMPLETELY self-sustaining structure. That means that even the trees and plants were carefully calculated to provide any and all oxygen inside! ANY and all air, food, etc. was completely provided for by the systems in the Biosphere. Now owned and operated by ASU, Biosphere 2 offers tours and is used for research and conferences.
