Come share A Night at the Oscars(r) with fellow film lovers in Prescott, a fundraiser for the Prescott Film Festival! Dress up, Dress Down, come as your favorite movie star or come as you are! Celebrate the 2012 Academy Awards(r) show on the big screen with prize give-a-ways, free appetizers and wine. Fill in your own ballot, turn in before the first award is given out for a chance as to win tickets and passes to the 2012 fest! Donations cheerfully accepted as we raise funds for our 2012 festival!   • Book Signing with David Hatcher Childress at Adventures Unlimited Books

    photoMay 19th: The bizarre yet fascinating subject of cranial deformation has been largely avoided by archeologists, anthropologists and historians. The puzzle of headbinding is truly mystifying, and as yet, virtually unstudied. On Saturady, noted author David Hatcher Childress explores the research that has taken him to Egypt, Peru, Mexico, Malta and China (along with co-author anthropologist Brien Foerster), resulting in his latest book: The Enigma of Cranial Deformation.

    photoMay 26th and 27th: This is the 22nd year Zuni will gather at the Museum of Northern Arizona for the Zuni Festival of Arts and Culture, bringing with them cultural presentations, fine arts, music, and dances to explore A:shiwi philosophy, beliefs, worldviews, values, and current issues on the Zuni Indian Reservation.

  • Sedona Bluegrass Festival

    photoMay 30th through June 3rd: The sixth annual Sedona Bluegrass Festival and residency runs Wednesday May 30 through Sunday June 3, with many of Bluegrass #39;s most important artists, emerging artists, and Arizona artists.

  • Howard Hitchcock Wisdom of Wit at Lanning Gallery

    photoThrough May 31st: Lanning Gallery offers an exciting evening during Sedona rsquo;s 1st Friday Gallery Tour from 5-8 pm, May 4. The exhibition Howard Hitchcock: The Wisdom of Wit opens and the esteemed sculptor will not only be on-hand during the reception to give visitors one-on-one time but also gives a talk, with a QandA, at 6 p.m.
